Terms of Service
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms," "Agreement") carefully before accessing or using the HireGPS platform. By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Parties and Agreement Overview
This Agreement is entered into between HireGPS ("Company," "we," "us," "our") and the individual accessing or using the Services ("User," "you," "your"). HireGPS's company formation is currently in progress; registered entity and jurisdiction details will be published at www.hiregps.app/legal upon completion and no later than the public launch of the Services.
These Terms apply to all access and use of the HireGPS mobile application (iOS and Android), the website at hiregps.app, and all related products, features, and services (collectively, the "Services").
2. Description of the Services
2.1 What HireGPS Provides
HireGPS provides a CV evaluation and career intelligence platform. Core features include:
- CV upload and AI-assisted parsing (PDF or DOCX format, up to 10 MB)
- CV creation via structured in-app form
- Recruiter-simulation analysis producing a 0–100 shortlist score, a Shortlist / Hold / Reject classification, and a scored risk inventory across eight assessment categories
- Recruiter-oriented explanations for all scoring categories and risk factors
- CV rewrite suggestions based on recruiter language standards (Premium)
- Interview preparation question banks and answer frameworks (Premium)
- Analysis history access and PDF export (Premium)
2.2 What HireGPS Does Not Provide
These limitations are fundamental to understanding the nature of the Services. Please read this section carefully.
- HireGPS does not represent, act on behalf of, or have any relationship with any employer, staffing agency, or hiring organisation
- HireGPS does not make employment decisions or determinations of candidate eligibility for any role
- HireGPS does not submit applications, share your profile, or contact employers on your behalf
- HireGPS does not provide access to job listings or aggregate job postings
- HireGPS does not guarantee any specific outcome — including shortlisting, interview invitations, or job offers
- HireGPS analysis scores are simulation outputs intended for personal career guidance only and do not represent the views or decisions of any employer
2.3 Informational Nature of the Services
All outputs generated by the Services — including scores, classifications, risk flags, rewrite suggestions, and interview questions — are provided for informational and self-improvement purposes only. They do not constitute professional legal, employment, or career advice. You should not rely solely on any output from the Services when making material career or employment decisions.
3. Eligibility and Account Requirements
3.1 Age Requirements
- You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Services
- Users between the ages of 13 and 15 must obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent prior to registration
- Users under the age of 13 in the United States are strictly prohibited from using the Services
- Where local law sets a higher minimum age for consent to data processing, that higher age applies
3.2 Account Registration
- You must provide a valid email address and accurate registration information
- Each email address may be associated with only one account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately at support@hiregps.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account
- You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain appropriate account security.
4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payment
4.1 Plan Options
The Services are offered under the following access plans:
- Free Plan: Access to core features on a free, indefinite basis, subject to fair-usage limits described below
- Monthly Premium: USD 12.99 per month (or local equivalent), billed on a recurring 30-day cycle
- Yearly Premium: USD 89.00 per year (or local equivalent), billed on a recurring 365-day cycle
Prices are displayed exclusive of applicable taxes. Actual pricing may vary by region and applicable taxes will be added at checkout where required by law.
4.2 Payment Processing
- iOS subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit 2). Apple manages all billing.
- Android subscriptions are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing Library. Google manages all billing.
- HireGPS does not directly process, store, or have access to your full payment card information.
- Cross-platform subscription entitlement management is handled through RevenueCat.
4.3 Automatic Renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge will be applied to your payment method on file with Apple or Google at the confirmed subscription rate.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the applicable app marketplace:
- iOS: Settings > [Your Apple ID] > Subscriptions > HireGPS > Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play app > Account > Subscriptions > HireGPS > Cancel
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You retain full Premium access until that date. We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time within a billing period, except as required by applicable consumer protection law.
4.5 Free Trial Periods
If a free trial is offered, you must cancel before the trial period ends to avoid being charged. If you do not cancel, the subscription will begin billing automatically at the end of the trial.
4.6 Refund Policy
- iOS refund requests are subject to Apple's refund policy (support.apple.com/billing)
- Android refund requests are subject to Google Play's refund policy
We are unable to directly issue or manage refunds for purchases made through Apple or Google. Requests must be submitted through the applicable app store. Nothing in this section affects your rights under applicable consumer protection legislation, including rights to refunds for faulty or misrepresented services.
4.7 Price Changes
We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice before any price change takes effect. Your continued subscription following the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
4.8 Billing Failure and Grace Period
If a renewal billing event fails, we will maintain full Premium access during a grace period of up to 7 days. If the billing issue is not resolved within the grace period, your entitlement will revert to the Free Plan.
4.9 Post-Cancellation Access
- You retain full Premium access until the end of the paid billing period
- On expiry, your account reverts to the Free Plan
- Your historical analysis records are not deleted; however, full detail will be locked at Free Plan limits
- Resubscribing immediately restores full detail access to all historical analyses
5. User Content and Data Ownership
5.1 Ownership
You retain full ownership of all CV files, career content, and personal information you submit to the Services ("User Content"). We do not claim any ownership interest in your User Content.
5.2 Licence Granted to HireGPS
By submitting User Content to the Services, you grant HireGPS a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to process, store, analyse, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Services to you. This licence terminates when you delete your account or the relevant content.
5.3 Accuracy of User Content
You represent and warrant that all information you submit to the Services is truthful, accurate, and belongs to you. You must not submit information that:
- Belongs to another person or entity without their permission
- Is materially false, misleading, or fabricated
- Contains personal information about third parties without their consent
- Infringes any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
5.4 No Training Use
We will not use your User Content to train, fine-tune, or improve generalised AI or machine-learning models. This restriction is binding on us and will be contractually imposed on our AI processing vendors.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
The following activities are prohibited. Violation may result in immediate account suspension or termination and, where applicable, legal action.
6.1 System Integrity
- Automated scraping, harvesting, or systematic collection of CV data, analysis outputs, or any platform content
- Sending requests to our infrastructure at volumes designed to overload or degrade the Services
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of our systems or networks
- Automating account creation, analysis processing, or any other platform interaction
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any component of the platform
6.2 Unauthorised Access
- Attempting to access another user's account, data, or analysis results
- Using another person's credentials or impersonating any individual or entity
- Circumventing authentication, access controls, or paywall mechanisms
6.3 Harmful and Deceptive Content
- Uploading a CV that belongs to another person without their explicit consent
- Submitting materially false employment history, credentials, or qualifications to manipulate analysis outputs
- Uploading malicious code, malware, ransomware, or files designed to harm the platform or other users
6.4 Commercial Misuse
- Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing access to the Services or any output therefrom
- Using the Services to build or operate a competing CV evaluation or recruiter-simulation product
- Using the Services to provide commercial CV screening, candidate ranking, or talent-pipeline services to third parties
- Extracting platform methodology, scoring weights, or risk-trigger logic through systematic testing for competitive purposes
7. Account Suspension and Termination
7.1 Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time via Account > Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Upon deletion:
- All CV files, analysis records, and personal data are targeted for deletion within 24 hours
- Your active subscription is not automatically cancelled; you must separately cancel through Apple or Google
- Billing records are retained as required by law
7.2 Suspension or Termination by HireGPS
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for:
- Material breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
- Providing fraudulent, false, or misleading registration information
- Conduct that poses a risk to the integrity, security, or reputation of the Services
- Compliance with a legal obligation or court order
- Prolonged account inactivity (we will provide advance notice before deactivating inactive accounts)
For non-severe violations, we will endeavour to provide notice and an opportunity to cure before termination. For appeals or disputes regarding account termination, please contact support@hiregps.app.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 HireGPS Ownership
The following are the exclusive intellectual property of HireGPS:
- All platform software, source code, algorithms, and application architecture
- The scoring methodology and recruiter-persona evaluation framework (including the 29,400-persona matrix spanning 10 regions, 21 industries, 20 job functions, and 7 seniority levels)
- All visual design elements, brand identity, typography system, and user interface components
- All explanation templates, risk-assessment frameworks, and interview question banks
- All trade secrets, know-how, and proprietary methods embodied in the Services
8.2 Permitted Use of Platform Outputs
Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use outputs generated by the Services (analysis explanations, CV rewrite suggestions, interview questions) for your own personal career development purposes, including:
- Saving analysis results for personal reference
- Applying suggested CV rewrite language to your own CV
- Using interview preparation materials for personal interview practice
8.3 Restrictions on Platform Outputs
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute HireGPS's scoring methodology, persona framework, risk-trigger logic, or explanation templates
- Use platform outputs for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent
- Use platform outputs to train, evaluate, or benchmark any AI model
8.4 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Services, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use that feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.
9. AI Output Disclaimers and Employment Outcome Limitations
This section contains important limitations on what the Services are designed to do. Please read carefully.
9.1 No Guarantee of Career Outcomes
HireGPS provides simulation and analysis outputs for informational purposes only. We make no warranty, representation, or guarantee that:
- Your shortlist score will predict or correlate with any actual recruiter's assessment
- Following our recommendations will result in shortlisting, interview invitations, or job offers
- Any employer, recruiter, or automated hiring system will evaluate your CV in a manner consistent with our methodology
- The platform's outputs will improve your employment prospects in any specific market, industry, or role
9.2 Simulation Limitations
Our analysis engine is built on a defined set of rules, weights, and persona parameters. Real-world hiring decisions are influenced by many factors outside the scope of our model, including:
- Subjective assessments by individual recruiters
- Internal headcount and budget constraints
- Competitive candidate pools
- Non-CV factors such as referrals, internal candidates, and relationship networks
- Industry and market conditions not captured in our persona framework
9.3 Rewrite Responsibility
You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and approving all rewritten content generated by the CV rewrite feature before using it in any job application or professional document. We are not responsible for any consequence arising from your use of AI-generated CV content.
9.4 Services Provided 'As Is'
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall HireGPS, its directors, employees, agents, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services, including but not limited to:
- Loss of income, revenue, or anticipated career opportunities
- Loss of employment, promotion, or contract
- Reputational harm
- Loss of data or content
- Costs of substitute services
In all cases, our aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of: (i) the total subscription fees paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (ii) USD 100.
These limitations apply regardless of the form of action and whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other theory. Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HireGPS and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights
- Your User Content or your use of the Services
- Any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
12.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Arab Emirates.
12.2 Dispute Resolution Process
In the event of a dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services:
- The parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith direct negotiation for a period of 30 days following written notice of the dispute.
- If negotiation does not resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to mediation before a mutually agreed mediator.
- If mediation does not resolve the dispute within a further 30 days, either party may pursue their claims in the competent courts of the governing jurisdiction.
12.3 Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits or removes any right you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation in your country of residence. EU consumers may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
12.4 Class Action Waiver
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any right to bring claims against us as part of a class action, class arbitration, or any other representative proceeding. You may only bring claims against us in your individual capacity. This waiver does not apply where prohibited by applicable law.
13. Premium Features and Fair Usage
13.1 Premium Feature Set
An active Premium subscription grants access to the following in addition to Free Plan features:
- Full explanations and action steps for all identified recruiter-risk factors (up to 40)
- Complete breakdown and sub-score detail for all eight scoring categories
- Full CV rewrite functionality (up to 5 batch rewrites per analysis session)
- All interview preparation questions, STAR/C-A-R answer frameworks, and per-risk mitigation guidance
- PDF export of full analysis report and interview preparation guide
- Analysis history access beyond 3 most recent analyses
- Storage of up to 20 CVs simultaneously (Free Plan: up to 5 CVs)
13.2 Fair Usage Limits (Premium)
- Maximum of 10 analyses per rolling 30-day period
- Maximum of 20 CVs stored simultaneously
- Maximum of 5 batch CV rewrites per analysis session
These limits are configurable by us without advance notice to you, provided the changes do not materially reduce the value of your active subscription.
14. Modifications to the Terms and Services
14.1 Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will notify you through:
- An in-app notification at next launch
- An email to your registered address
- An updated version date at the top of these Terms
For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those revisions. If you do not accept revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the Services and, if applicable, cancel your subscription before the effective date.
14.2 Changes to the Services
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time. For Premium subscribers, we will provide reasonable notice before removing material features and will offer a prorated refund or subscription adjustment where required by applicable consumer protection law.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable app store terms incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and HireGPS regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
15.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
15.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision or any other provision in the future.
15.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, provided we give you notice of the assignment.
15.5 Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, war, civil unrest, infrastructure failures, or actions of third-party service providers.
15.6 Language
These Terms are written in English. To the extent a translated version conflicts with the English version, the English version governs, except where local law requires otherwise.
15.7 Relationship of the Parties
Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, employment, franchise, or agency relationship between you and HireGPS.
